Job description

The Head of Data Enablement is responsible for the transformation of the Risk Reporting function. From definition to delivery of the operating model structure, scope and ways of working. You'll own how we partner with Risk Teams and also the Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO) and Enterprise Risk Platform. This role will act as a connector to enable the functional redesign and controlled delivery of Risk wide interactive MI & Data solutions.

Key Accountabilities :
  • Define and develop the strategy/target operating model to the future state for Risk Reporting.
  • Lead A team of experts who manipulate/curate data to enable key reporting across the Risk function and Customer Facing business units.
  • Ensure on time delivery of current reporting and data extracts that support key activity across Finance.
  • Develop and supervise the data controls underpinning data used across CDAO processes.
  • Working with end users to determine the optimal ways to deliver data.
  • Work with Visualization teams to uplift the usage of interactive reporting with use of tableau and Power BI across Finance
  • Create and implement key design standards for reporting and building new reports using the groups strategic tool set
  • Partner with the Enterprise Risk Platform as we move towards a future “self-serve” operating model determining the best solutions
  • Partner with CDAO to drive forward data as an asset to enable data driven decisions


About you

The ideal candidate will have experience across various Data Management disciplines with a proven track records of success. You have a sound understanding of the Financial Services Sector and/or large Corporate environments. With a confirmed ability to quickly learn and adapt to new challenges, you’ll also have well-developed communication and influencing skills at a Senior Management Level. You're happy to challenge the status quo and are comfortable rationalising decisions. You're also able to handle conflicting demands whilst delivering.

The ideal candidate is :
  • Knowledgeable about how Risk works within a multi-product supervised organisation of which they'll have had operational experience.
  • An experienced leader in the Data environment, able to understand key concepts of data including how it is curated, processed and run.
  • Intellectually curios in their outlook; seeking to innovate and learn quickly from failures.
  • An effective communicator who can influence Executive and Board level collaborators across multi channels.
  • A dynamic and adaptable leader who is able to identify business needs, shape initiatives, and deliver ground-breaking solutions from both a process and technology perspective.
  • An authority in delivering through others, comfortable working in a matrix structure and able to use your networks to enable delivery. Able to balance assertiveness with co-operation to enable truly collaborative working partnerships to achieve shared outcomes.
  • A passionate advocate for diversity, developing all aspects of diversity through the team where inclusion is part of their DNA.
