This is an excellent opportunity to work with a Stoke-on-Trent based organisation that is involved in building complex data management and software products for well-known companies around the world.

You'll develop your skills in a focused data science team to facilitate better quality decision making both internally and externally through the use of predictive analytics technologies.? Supporting the sale, delivery and maintenance of our analytical products and services whilst continually exploring R&D opportunities to evolve and improve them.

Duties will include:

  • Support internal clients across Synectics by providing expert data science intelligence and insight to assist their BAU activities, in particular:

o Sales

o Business Development

o Client Success Management

o Product Management

o Application Support

o Marketing

  • Continually evaluate, deploy and recalibrate predictive analytics models to improve the quality of solutions we provide to our clients
  • Maintain awareness of predictive analytics algorithms, trends & technologies to help identify ways in which we can continuously improve the services we offer
  • Explore and test new datasets & algorithms that could potentially be integrated to enhance our Data Science capabilities
  • Apply the concept of Data Science to multiple different industry sectors, products and scenarios to deliver tangible cost, efficiency and quality improvements to Synectics' client base

What will you need?

  • A genuine interest and enthusiasm for Data Science
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A mix of technical and creative skills to execute and adapt predictive analytics models
  • An investigative mind-set to explore and test different feature engineering derivations to boost predictive analytics model performance
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • The ability to work equally effectively as part of a team or individually
  • Proficient R Skills
  • Good SQL skills.
  • Working knowledge of Python
