Sitting within our Risk function, Decision Science is a centre of excellence for analytics, credit modelling and customer insights. The team support the wider Risk division by:

The role
Several exciting Senior Analyst opportunities across Decision Science have arisen for highly motivated applicants to support credit modelling teams. Decision Science itself is a large collaborative team that thrives in a changing and fast paced environment. These roles offer considerable scope for personal development, whilst building an in-depth knowledge of Commercial & Retail Banking and its clients.

- Delivering sophisticated data analytics and modelling to support retail and commercial customer needs and credit decisions across the credit lifecycle

Several exciting Senior Analyst opportunities across Decision Science have arisen for highly motivated applicants to support credit modelling teams. These roles offer considerable scope for personal development, whilst building an in-depth knowledge of Commercial & Retail Banking and its clients.
These roles involve working as part of a team to develop and maintain a range of complex Credit Risk models, the role provides the opportunity to:
- Play a key role in delivering sophisticated statistical modelling solutions to drive decision making across Risk.
- Use software tools such as SAS, Python and Excel to manipulate large datasets and to build, validate and analyse the performance of a range of predictive models.
- Work independently, in line with established methodologies and, where required, provide technical leadership to less experienced analysts
- Think about data differently, using it to really understand customer behaviour and credit performance and to tell a story to the business in order to influence decision making.
- Build relationships with business partners across the organisation to understand requirements and develop effective modelling and analytical solutions.
- Contribute to the development of the Decision Science team, sharing learning and knowledge and participating in team initiatives to build positive team culture.

We are looking for people who are:
- Comfortable working with numbers and have either a good degree in a numerate subject or equivalent quantitative experience gained in previous roles
- Experienced in the use of programming languages (e.g., SAS, SQL, Python) to manipulate data. Practical experience in statistical credit-risk modelling techniques and methods is also desirable but training will be provided.
- Analytical problem solvers, able to work creatively with data to draw out insight and answer business questions.
- Effective communicators, building positive relationships with partners and communicating recommendations clearly to influence business decisions.
- Well organised and able to manage their own workload while adapting to changing priorities.
- Proactive in progressing their own personal development and collaborating with others to improve the culture of the wider team
