THIS POSITION IS NOT A VISA OPPORTUNITY JOB SUMMARY Risk and Safety Solutions supports the technology efforts of UC-wide Enterprise Risk Management. Under general supervision of the Risk and Safety Solutions Associate Director for DevOps, this position serves as a Senior Business Intelligence Developer working on University of California, Office of the President Risk Services initiatives. Responsible for working with stakeholders throughout the UC system as well as providing technical and project leadership to internal development teams to provide reporting, dashboards and analytics using data from the Risk and Safety Solutions platform as well as UC System wide data for Risk Services. Develop Business Intelligence (BI) and Analytics solutions, including requirements gathering, data analysis and modeling, design and building of ETL processes, reports, and dashboards, operational maintenance and support of existing solutions. QUALIFICATIONS Required: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with the Microsoft Business Intelligence tool, with a focus on, but not limited to, Power BI (including DAX, data modeling and visualization), SQL Server, T-SQL, and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). Experience leading and mentoring a cross functional team Experience working with Data warehousing technology including but not limited to development of Cubes and writing T-SQL queries. Interpersonal and communication skills to communicate effectively with all levels of faculty and staff on a system wide level to both technical and non-technical audiences. Preferred: 4 years of experience in Business Intelligence development. Experience with Document Databases, such as MongoDB, and the migration of NoSQL to SQL databases. Experience working effectively in a service-oriented team environment. Experience applying iterative software development methodologies, working with a team for software development, and scheduled, process controls. Experience working in a collaborative Agile Software Development environment Decision-making and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of Azure SQL Database, Synapse Analytics and Pipelines SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS Background Check This position is a critical position and subject to a background check.
