Hiring Full Time/Permanent for a Principal Data Engineer Role

Day to day:

• Ascendion is looking for a Principal Data Engineer for our biggest aviation technology company here in Chicago.
• As a Principal Data Engineer, you will join the dynamic and innovative team of Data Management professionals who specialize in designing and delivering solutions to enable big data analytics which supports the growth and performance of our inflight connected experience under the Commercial Aviation division.

Must haves:

• 8 years of relevant data processing experience.
• 6 years of utilizing AWS services (EMR, EC2, S3, Kinesis, Lambda, DynamoDB, etc.).
• Experience with large-scale data lake and data warehouse implementations in the cloud.
• Significant experience with programming languages (Scala, Python, Java, Spark).
• Experience with API integration and Data streaming.
• Experience using NoSQL, Hadoop technologies, Apache Accumulo, or any other relevant Big Data experience.
• Leadership experience, either as a mentor to junior engineers or in a lead role.
