Senior Data Analyst 6 Months (Likely extensions) Warwick (1/2 days in office) My high-profile utilities client is currently recruiting for a Senior Data Analyst to join their Warwick based team on an initial 6-month contract- candidates will be expected to work onsite days per week. Job Purpose Supporting the billing operation lead, responsible for one or more of the billing, reconciliation and income management of transmission charges. Responsible for SOX controls in relation to charging processes. Ensure that all processes are developed to reflect ongoing change to the regulatory regime. Key Accountabilities Provide expertise to ensure that all charging activities are delivered in accordance with Codes and Licence requirements Lead the calculation and validation of annual TNUoS generation and demand billing reconciliations in line with CUSC deadlines Lead the calculation and validation of connection charges and application fees and post commissioning security setting Lead the security monitoring for use of system process to ensure that appropriate levels of collateral are maintained to protect ESO against risk of financial loss in the event of customer default Lead the engagement with TOs on connection charge setting and responsible for the publication of the charge setting statement Responsible for the customer onboarding and engagement for transmission charges incl. connection offer and connection contract development Supervise and oversee the budget, forecast and processing of the Inter-TSO Compensation scheme (ITC) invoice payments Lead ongoing methodology changes and enhancements and development of the billing system to ensure revenue recovery and compliance with regulatory requirements Support the Charging Operation lead in managing the offshore charging team to ensure timely and accurate billing documents and providing guidance on complicated customer and charging issues Provide within year income management so that business risks and opportunities are fully understood Develop and implement policies and processes for the setting of tariffs and charging activities Identify and implement both IS and business process improvements to make charge setting, risk management and revenue forecasting processes more efficient and effective Responsible for TNUoS SOX controls incl. operation of the control and continued improvement to ensure its effectiveness Support development of briefing material for Senior Management / Director levelKnowledge, Experience and Technical Know How Highly competent at manipulating and querying numeric data in spreadsheets and databases, Oracle and Business Objects Great knowledge and understanding of Power Bi/ Power Query Ability to seek and set challenging goals for themselves; and to work under their own initiative to meet those goals and drive improvements Ability to collate and organise data, grasp and analyse complex issues and their interactions within the ESO and the wider industry Effective communication skills, including ability to produce and deliver accurate written reports and presentation material to internal or external audiences Experience in building effective internal and external relationships combined with good negotiating and influencing skills Ability to successfully manage multiple activities and issues to set time constraints that can evolve with organisational change Ability to work effectively in a team environmentDesirable: Knowledge of the TNUoS, BSUoS, AAHEDC, connection charging methodology and principles by which tariffs and charges are applied to users of electricity transmission infrastructure assets Understanding of the legal and commercial framework: Act, Licences, Codes and Standards If you have not received a response within 48 hours of applying, please assume you have not been shortlisted this time
