The Propositions & Channel Development team is the strategic voice of Business Banking. We're driving the next phase of the Group's strategy for Businesses - using data, insight, innovative market developments, and the voice of our customers.

Our team is rapidly expanding - hence the need for a new Analytics & Insight Manager. If you're passionate about driving data-led strategic decisions, then this is the role for you!

Please note that this role is for a 12-month Fixed Term Contract.

As an Analytics & Insight Manager, you'll be responsible for:

  • Shaping the BB strategy. You'll support the creation of a new data-led approach to customer segmentation
  • Identifying, mining, and extracting relevant datasets, via structured and unstructured sources
  • Manipulating, interpreting and challenging data using a variety of modelling tools and applying statistical techniques to understand drivers, risks and opportunities
  • Sharing these analytical and commercially focused insights with senior leaders to drive decision-making
  • Working closely with the analytical community to tap into LBG's extensive data warehouse including GDW, to improve our understanding of BB customer needs, segments & market performance / opportunities

Within this team, you'll have a unique opportunity to work directly with Senior Executives. You'll lead stakeholder relationships including Retail, Commercial, and Group Transformation.

Your work will make a tangible impact and you'll be owning ground-breaking work within the banking industry.

Strengths You'll Need

A successful candidate will demonstrate:


  • An excellent understanding of how data & insight is used in commercial decision making
  • A strong grounding in the principles of sophisticated analytics and their application to real-world business problems
  • Advanced SQL skills and experience of working with large datasets in a similar analytical or data modelling role
  • Excellent commercial awareness, and the communication and relationship skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to be a self-starter, deliver at pace and lead a broad portfolio of work
