Job Introduction

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Data Analyst will support the procurement and supply chain management function with data analysis, data visualization, reporting and the resulting informed decision making.

Using analytical, mathematical, logical, and interpersonal skills, to collect data from various internal and external sources. Manage and analyse the information, then use various digital tools for reporting, and help the teams make better informed decisions.

Four main areas of responsibility:

  • Reporting - Monthly and quarterly reporting collation, F&R, PMU, IB, PES, TES, CLR - procurement and supply chain data reporting - Internally, supply chain and into client
  • Procurement tracking - Procurement schedule, hold points, spend and activity tracking, data management and reporting
  • Supply chain data - Social value, performance, credit, EDI, SME’s, GIS, supply chain mapping
  • Adding value - Data visualisation and interaction, such as PowerBi, analytics forums, stakeholder, and customer engagement, adding value through data - Demonstrating value creation with the supply chain

Role Responsibility

  • A real keen interest in supply chain management improvement through data
  • CIPS would be beneficial, but not essential
  • Previous construction sector helpful, but not essential

Behaviours:

  • No surprises - To ensure transparency and honesty we do not try to hide our mistakes or withhold information or opinions. Voice concerns at the earliest opportunity. Ask the questions in our mind, even the stupid ones these maybe the most valuable.
  • Forgive fast - We all make mistakes, and something always goes wrong. Do not stay with the anger and frustration but let it go and commit to working on the solution. Criticise the issue not the person, personal criticism or unkindness can do lasting damage.
  • Be your word - Do what you say you will do when you say you will do it. If you are unable to guarantee a request, then say so and make a counter offer you can deliver on. If during delivery you realise circumstances are going to impede on your ability to meet your commitment, say so immediately (see behavior No. 1)
