This position needs someone with energy and passion to complement and grow within our existing development team to be part of the transition of our analyst and reporting team to an AWS cloud based environment where SQL, Python and Airflow are used to deliver key reporting and information provision to the business.

Our client is a financial services company specialising in providing credit products to consumers in the United Kingdom.
Description
Working on reporting and analytical solutions using Python and SQL skills, scheduling them in Airflow.
Performing analysis with key business users to identify the data requirement, sources for the data, and any derivations or business rules to be applied
Build and test processes using SQL tools over AWS, Python in Jupyter notebooks, balancing the data as required, and building automated quality checks into the process
Scheduling productionised jobs into the existing production schedule using Airflow
Working with the AWS Data Lake Engineering and Dev-Ops team to performance tune processes, recommend design changes and validate data
The role has these core areas of focus
1)Document all solutions being built with clear business requirements and solution.
2) Ensure solution is peer reviewed and signed off by the BI reporting manager
3) Become a key expert in the Big Data toolset for analysis and reporting, driving automation into the Business intelligence team
4) Work with the broader team to convert existing SAS processes to Python using pandas in Jupyter Hub
Profile
ESSENTIAL
Experience working within a SQL relational development environment , using physical or virtual database systems
Knowledge of AWS cloud solutions
Analytical and customer focused approach
DESIRABLE
Knowledge of Python pandas
Experience of Juptyer notebooks
