We are looking for three Senior Data & Insight Analysts to join our expert, high-impact Data & Insight team. Working alongside five other senior analysts, you will be responsible for delivering the highest quality data and insights using UCL’s strategic data to inform decision-makers and stakeholders. The role has scope for the successful candidate to develop their own skills and desired data specialisms while working towards continuous delivery and improvement of a set of data visualisation products on our Tableau server. Focused on helping UCL staff make better decisions, you will harness our technology and your expertise as a data professional to deliver sector-leading analysis and insight. The Data & Insight Service is part of the wider Vice-President Strategy team, supporting the institution with strategic planning and evidence-based decision-making. We are a high-performing, supportive team with a culture of excellence and a strong focus on customers. We work closely with staff in the VP Strategy team and other departments to support the use of data, innovation and a culture of good practice across the university.

To be successful in this role you will be of graduate calibre with degree or equivalent level of experience gained in the work environment. You will be able to effectively use Management Information tools and visualisation technologies (e.g. Tableau  Power BI). You will be experienced in managing and processing large, complex datasets and will be familiar with usage of relational databases and associated query languages, e.g. SQL. You will have an expert ability to interpret complex issues and communicate findings in simple, engaging and visual ways. You will be able to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, drawing out briefs and managing workflow. You will also be a reliable team-member, able to manage your own area of work as well as contributing to the development and continuous improvement of team practices.  Staff members have a responsibility to carry out their duties in a resource-efficient way and actively support UCL’s Sustainability Strategy, policies and objectives within the remit of their role.
