Salary: Grade C - £30,022 (National Framework) or £35,040 (London Framework – if you are London office based or homebased and live within the boundary of the M25). There is also an additional homeworking allowance of £514 per annum for those working from home.

We have a number of exciting new roles across the function for people with qualitative/research analysis experience. Experience of working with health and care data is desirable but not essential.
The new Strategic Insight function, in Data & Insight, has recently launched. Our goal is to deliver actionable analysis and insight to inform CQC strategic priorities and help us to be a forward-looking, data led regulator. We support the organisation to make decisions about where we should focus and invest our resources. We are also vital in supporting CQC’s Independent Voice – providing the public and our stakeholders with independent analysis and expertise on the most important issues in the health and social care sectors.
The function works on fascinating projects tackling high priority topics and exploring trends across the health and social care sectors. These may include identifying inequalities in health care, understanding regional disparities, insights into access and people’s experience of moving between services. Strategic Insight also leads analysis for our national reporting programme, for example State of Care, looking at major cross-sectoral issues and themes.
The newly formed Operational Insight function will be the face of the Data and Insight Unit for operational colleagues. We work collaboratively with regional and national inspection teams to deliver insight through the analysis of data to support the regulation of health and care services in England, answering the 'so what?' and helping to inform the 'now what?'. The function is also responsible for helping to build a data-driven culture in the operational teams.
The Analytic Content function is responsible for developing and maintaining key analysis to support how CQC regulates services. Analysts in the team develop measures of quality and risk about health and care services, using large volumes of qualitative data and applying the most appropriate analytical methodologies.
