A global technologies company dedicated to continually improving their data capabilities urgently require an experience Data Engineer to join a highly skilled team delivering low latency data driven automation through data pipeline builds, data system and data products developments.
The role will focus on creating and maintain logical data models, integrating data from multiple sources into a central cloud repository. The Data Engineer apply data cleansing and data standardisation rules, providing clear documentation, as well as any solving any data quality issues there may be.
The Data Engineer will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills as the roles will collaborate with the wider business and analytics teams to understand the vision of the data journey, whilst working closely with the Data Architect team, Data scientists and AI team to develop new products and services.
The Data Engineer will have extensive SQL experience, both at a development and analytical level delivering complex big data solutions with structured and unstructured data. Experience of implementing Data Quality strategy and advising on a range of complex, high impact, data solutions is essential for this role.
A background in machine learning and software engineering frameworks such as TensorFlow or Keras is highly advantageous as is knowledge of Cloud Computing patterns, workflows and services. Experience of working in a big data domain and cloud technologies such as AWS, GCP; BigQuery is a must. In addition, experience of deploying data solutions and cloud infrastructure via CI/CD pipelines and knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes is nice to have.
There is flexibility in work location c2 days a week either London/Bristol/ Birmingham/Manchester/Newcastle
