Data Analyst - REMOTE
Purpose and Objectives of the Role
You will be working very closely with a team of experienced Consultants and seasoned analytics experts to help Clients identify and capture purpose-led growth opportunities. Analysts are expected to combine both "right and "left brain skills across engagements to enhance Client deliverables and elevate organizational thinking. Analysts play an integral role in supporting all aspects of Client engagements by conducting data analysis, manipulating/synthesizing various data sets, translating data into insight, creating Client presentations, and working with consultants for preparing Client workshops.
While our Clients span a range of different industries, we work most closely with regional and global Retailers, Technology Companies and Consumer Packaged Goods manufacturers, and as an Analyst, you will develop an in-depth understanding of these sectors. This role provides the opportunity to gain a deep understanding of multiple industries and product categories with small and large data sets. Furthermore, you will develop a practical, actionable analytical expertise that only a retail and shopper consultancy can provide.
Contribution to the delivery of internal and external projects undertaking the following types of work:
Listen for key Client issues and/or business questions and effectively articulate how various solutions - analytical tools, data-sets, reports and analyses - can answer them.
Work efficiently and effectively to execute project plans using the key tools, analytic methodologies and data sources of the group.
Develop expertise in Retail/Shopper analytical tools and become a local center of excellence.
Visualize data-driven information effectively, creating desktop ready PowerPoint slides with appropriate data charts, headlines, and key takeaways.
Effectively present insights from completed projects, telling stories from data, highlighting implications and articulating legitimate reasons behind conclusions drawn.
Elevate existing deliverables and methodologies employed in our organization through creative freedom and inspiration.
Exhibit a positive and collaborative approach when interacting with Consultants, Clients and other stakeholders.
Work with Consultants to identify opportunities and confidently showcase analytical solutions and tools in front of Clients.

In order to be considered for this role, you must possess the following skills/qualities:
A Bachelor's Degree or greater. Analytically rigorous field such as business, economics, finance, mathematics, computer science, or engineering would be an added advantage.
Strong quantitative and analytical skills and experience working with analytical software and/or data querying tools such as SQL, R, SPSS, etc would be an added advantage.
Like using data to solve problems and bring your ideas to life.
Like working on teams.
Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
The ability to engage independently and confidently with senior stakeholders in all Client engagements over time.
Interest and desire to work in the fields of Consulting, Analytics, Shopper/Consumer Research, Client Manufacturers, Sales, and/or Marketing.
