Statistician / Data Analyst
to GBP38,000 + bonus, pension & benefits
London, remote or hybrid
Reporting to the Director of Research and Chief Economist, this is an opportunity for a Data Analyst with a background in statistics to join a leading trade association, the largest organisation of its type in Europe.
The Job
The Research Department is a leading resource of UK industry and economic data that supports evidence-based policy work on members' behalf and demonstrates the significant economic contribution of sector markets. Key responsibilities.
* To collate, analyse and interpret qualitative and quantitative datasets.
* To use a wide range of statistical techniques as appropriate.
* To maintain up-to-date and accurate statistical databases and assist in their development.
* To provide support to the Director of Research and Chief Economist.
* Undertake any other duties as maybe reasonably required by the Association.
Candidate Profile
* Previous experience of data analysis.
* Previous experience of survey work (desirable, not essential).
* Previous experience of contributing to research projects.
* IT experience (MS Office, Advanced Excel Functions including Pivot Tables, R EViews, SPSS).
* Graduate in Statistics or in a subject with a substantial statistical content.
* Highly numerate.
* Attention to detail.
* Self-motivated, confident, and able to work to high standards
