The overall purpose of the role is to provide data driven insights relating to performance of the newly established VitalityCar business.
Your key responsibilities as our VitalityCar Data Analyst will include:
Performing detailed analysis on data from across the VitalityCar business (relating to campaigns, digital marketing, online quote funnel, pricing, sales, Vitality Good Driving Programme engagement, driving behaviour, renewals, claims, servicing, etc.), communicating insights, and making recommendations
Building automated dashboards and reports (e.g., using Microsoft Power BI and Google Data Studio) using data from multiple sources. These reports and dashboards should improve efficiency and encourage self-serve by business users
Refining, updating and distributing existing reports. Ensuring these reports remain accurate and fit-for-purpose as the business evolves
Proactively identifying data issues and anomalies, raising these with BI and Data Engineering teams, and driving their resolution to ensure accuracy of reports and analyses
Discovering trends, patterns and stories told by the data, and designing creative data visualisations and intuitive graphics to present the results of complex analyses
Working collaboratively with various Data Science, Analytics, Data Engineering, and other IT delivery teams to help ensure maximum value from Vitality's suite of tools and data
What we're looking for in our VitalityCar Data Analyst:
Educated to degree level in relevant subject (computing / programming / mathematics / statistics)
Previous experience in a similar role
Advanced technical analytical and numerical skills
Advanced knowledge of reporting and visualisation tools (Power BI, Google Data Studio or other equivalent tools)
Advanced experience of data analysis and report building in Excel
Good understanding of relational database architecture and querying
Advanced knowledge of MS SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) and querying using T-SQL
Experience in Google Analytics
Strong organisational and administrative skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
