This role entails…

Sitting in the data experimentation team, we have an opportunity for a Senior Data Analyst to help deliver our ambitious data strategy. In this role you will take full ownership of analytical requirements for a business domain in a cross functional team.

We are looking for talented individuals who are well-versed in big data techniques and have a strong interest in media, to join the team. We have ambitions to lead the market in data-powered, video advertising products that deliver compelling and effective solutions to advertisers and their media agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote and embed data experimentation across ITV business domains to drive value growth
  • Create and maintain automated data products for commercial and operations teams, highlighting media opportunities, product performance and campaign optimisation
  • Support the design of advertising effectiveness metrics and reporting, to prove the value of our ad and data products to advertisers
  • Help shape, test and optimise data products for high-quality ad targeting              
  • As part of a cross functional team develop prototypes and embed data solutions for business stakeholders    
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams including data strategist, data scientists, engineers and business stakeholders to drive projects forward
  • ​Communicate analytics and insight to business stakeholders in a non-technical, commercial and impactful manner.         
  • Proactively suggest data driven solutions to add value to the business wherever possible

Minimum Criteria:

  • Experience of working in the data analytics industry, preferably with extensive digital exposure
  • Keen problem solver who is able to demonstrate critical thinking
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Programming skills in Python
  • Experience working with GCP, Tableau and AWS
  • Experience analysing large datasets using SQL

Key Criteria:

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to tell stories with data
  • Comfortable visualising and presenting analysis across a range of formats (reports, powerpoint, dashboards, e-mail)
  • An understanding of analytical techniques and experimentation methodologies
  • Experience working closely with business stakeholders and engineering teams
  • Experience mentoring junior members of the team
  • Exposure to agile product development
  • An understanding of datamesh
  • Interest in digital media and familiar with advertising technologies and platforms
  • Interest in the TV landscape
