The Senior Data Science Manager will be a key contributor to the Credit Data Science team. Over the past two years, our client have built the team and framework to produce powerful predictive modelling solutions for all aspects of the customer journey using modern data science methodologies and multiple sources of data, building on the great foundation of expert insight into credit risk behaviours.

The 12-strong team of data science managers and data scientists is made of up of several backgrounds and profiles, covering two main skill sets: decision science ('traditional' sector-specific credit risk modelling) and data science (machine learning and sophisticated statistical methods).

Your Skills and Experience

* Proven track record of managing Data Science teams in a professional setting

* Proven track record of managing projects (timescales, delegation, progress tracking, managing expectations)

* Ample practical experience and detailed understanding of a broad spectrum of ML & data science techniques

* Demonstrated ability to research, adapt or create data science methods to specific problems

* Demonstrated ability to recommend the best delivery vs. innovation trade-offs in data science proposals, with constant focus on successful business outcomes and timelines

* Knowledge of Python, modelling and analysis tools for data analysis and modelling, acquired through hands-on experience in a professional context

* Excellent stakeholder management and relationship building skills

* Fact-based and data-driven approach, clear articulation of ideas both verbally and in documents

* Excellent presentation skills, compelling storytelling adapted to the level and technical depth of audiences

* Experience with Reinforcement Learning approaches, operational research or optimisation a definite plus
