As a Data Analytics Developer within the GFS Analytics Centre of Excellence, you will have the opportunity to cover data engineering, solution architecture and data science. This will allow the successful candidate to have a solid understanding of Data Analytics applications in business and build their career. This role will support the design, management, checking, and analysis of a diverse range of data using a variety of tools at Global Financial Services - Analytics Centre of Excellence to achieve consistent data sharing across the organisation.

Desirable : Previous experience in Kubernetes, GIT. Previously working in Agile project management environment using Scrum Experience or knowledge of several modelling approaches (clustering, regression).
Essential : Previous experience working in a team in data analytics, software or database development. An understanding of engineering best practices and delivery methodologies: +1 Year of Python experience; +1 year SQL development. Experience in creating tests; unit testing, data quality tests, assumption testing. Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills. Experience with Cloud-based platforms (GCP or similar), and corresponding toolsets.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities Design, create, test and maintain data pipelines to support analytics project as well as assemble complex datasets (SQL, Python, etc). Supporting the delivery of analytics tasks and development of analytics models to agreed timetables and resolving or escalating risks. Designing and developing code for data manipulation and modelling algorithms (clustering, regression, etc). Producing high quality code, with production and deployment in mind (version control, automated pipelines, cloud deployment). Communicating model assumptions and results to business users. Maintaining quality of their coding and reporting all assumptions and risks implied in their work. Documenting their work to a high standard. Continually developing their data skills and seeking new solutions to problems. Delivering/governing appropriate solutions and integrating cross-technology solutions.
Key Performance Indicators Design, create, test and maintain data pipelines to support analytics projects. Assemble complex datasets for a range of applications and teams. Identify, design and implement process improvements in data pipelines. Automating manual processes, increase scalability, reduce run time and optimise cost. Build analytic tools and solutions to support the business in data driven decision making and actionable insights.
