Do you enjoy analysing information and data to influence business decisions and support people to adapt to change?

We are looking for a Risk Analyst - Strategic Insights to contribute to, develop and embed our horizon scanning and foresight work.

The role

As a Risk Analyst - Strategic Insights you will use your advanced analytical skills to provide risk analysis and market intelligence during a period of rapid change in the legal services market. By doing this you will help define the SRA's regulatory approach and support the profession and the public.

Producing high quality research and data analysis to support evidence-based regulatory policy making is important. You will be confident communicating your research findings both internally and externally, as we aim to support the profession to manage the risks in the market to make sure that the public is protected.

It will be important that you quickly develop a strong understanding of the market that we regulate and of the risks that we need to address.

Our small team is made up of researchers, data scientists, risk analysts and behavioural economists, who work closely and collaboratively on projects. We welcome applicants with a a variety of experience with our current team having backgrounds in sociology, economics, chemistry, law and engineering.

What we are looking for:

  • the ability to produce reasoned, defensible analysis that can be relied upon to determine regulatory policy and action
  • the ability to use foresight tools such as horizon scanning to identify trends and analyse future possibilities
  • experience of communicating ideas and findings with both internal and external stakeholders
  • experience of working in an analytical role where you produced high quality reports
  • a strong team player familiar with working with people with different, complementary skill sets.

We are moving to a hybrid working model and looking forward there will be a blend of home working and an office presence of one or two days a week, in either our Birmingham or London offices.

The salary for the role is £44,932 per annum in Birmingham and £50,694 per annum in London.
