About the role
Reporting to the Senior Research Officer in the Integrity and Oversight Committee, you will provide high level administrative and research support to the Committee in order to meet regular and tight reporting deadlines.
The Committee consists of members drawn from the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly and is responsible for monitoring and reviewing several integrity agencies in Victoria.
You will interact with stakeholders and respond to enquiries from the public ensuring confidentiality and diplomacy is maintained on sensitive issues.
This is a 12 month, fixed term contract role.

To succeed in this role, you will be a team player and have highly-developed communication, research, writing, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
You will also have the ability to work with minimal supervision and complete tasks subject to time constraints, plus be able to deal with the challenge of working in an all-party political environment.
- Legal qualifications and/or experience in statutory interpretation are desirable
- Project management experience, with the ability to plan research, audits or reviews, complex investigations and inquiries to deadlines.
- Ability to analyse, articulate and identify innovative options to resolve complex problems
- Demonstrated understanding of public sector probity principles
- Flexible and self-directed and a collaborative small team member
