We're looking for a candidate to fill this position in an exciting company.
- Help to define a Data Science Strategy alongside the CTO and other key team members
- Partner closely with Product & Engineering teams to design and build new AI-driven product features.
- Lead research projects into new areas; to drive true innovation within the company
- Identify the immediate needs of the Machine Learning infrastructure, with a focus on setting up the ecosystem end to end - including model deployment, monitoring, alerting etc.
- Build processes within the organisation, to support Data Science at-scale
- Drive best-practice across the Data Science guild/team; ensuring we are all driving towards the new strategy and to mentor other members of the team.
- Analyze experimental data with statistical rigor. Ensure accurate interpretation by combining business acumen with detailed data knowledge and statistical expertise.
- Work closely with Product Development leadership to drive business decisions using data - you'll turn data into insights and help to surface relevant and personalized content to our millions of users.
- Collaborate with our product team to find novel ways to activate and engage customers
- Apply your knowledge and expertise in quantitative analysis, predictive modeling and data mining to see beyond the numbers and understand how our customers interact with our products.
- Driving non-functional requirements such as alerting, monitoring, security and performance of our services
- Strong statistical and academic background
- You have at least 6+ years of experience in a similar Data Science leadership role and a degree in science, computer science, statistics, machine learning, mathematics, or similar quantitative discipline.
- Excellent leadership skills with a desire to mentor other highly skilled team members
- Passion to answer Product/Engineering questions with data & statistics.
- A deep understanding of numbers, as well as a strong business sense.
- Coding skills (such as Python, Java,....)
- Analytics tools experience (such as R, SQL, or Hadoop)
- Experience in conducting a machine learning project: formalizing a loosely defined business problem, defining the technical stack, validating the approach with scientific rigor, identifying the limitations and improvements for future iteration.
- Experience performing analysis with large datasets
- Demonstrated capacity for developing and understanding strategy
- You are capable of tackling very loosely defined problems.
- You are a communicative person that values building strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders and have the ability to explain complex topics in simple terms.
- Enable continuous improvement of security process and guidelines with Security team
- Support implementation of secure design principles according to policies and standards of Information Security
