What's it all about?

The Programme Management, Data Science Lead will be a part of Visa Managed Services and embedded into our client premises, specifically supporting within the Data and Insights team in the UK. They will be required to work with client programme management teams, whilst reporting into a Visa Consulting & Analytics UK Lead, with dotted line to the Head of Visa Managed Services in London.

The Programme Management, Data Science Lead will have responsibility for the management and delivery of Visa resources to support the continuation and successful execution of the VMS Data & Insights Acceleration programme within one of our top UK clients. The incumbent will bring payments / cards expertise, consulting experience as well as data science background/knowledge, and provide direction to the different tracks of the programme (e.g. programme management, stakeholder engagement, programme governance etc) whilst overseeing and leading the work done by the two Data Scientists in the pod, ensuring that industry best practice is utilised in the design and execution of deliverables.

What we expect of you, day to day:

* Coordination and active management of the VMS team within the client assuring the value delivered, meeting Visa's high standards and to client's satisfaction

* Provide high level visibility and drive strategic initiatives for the programme, reporting progress into Client's management as well as UK & Ireland, Visa Consulting Analytics (VCA) and Visa Managed Services (VMS) functions, maintaining governance and oversight. Coordination with the Visa Hub teams in terms of implementing best practices and bringing the right input from Visa SME's and teams to address particular client queries

* On point for identifying potential leads for Visa to grow the business either via extension of the engagement(s) being delivered and/or new development opportunities that he/she can shape with the client lead. Leading the deployed Visa team and project managing the delivery strategies of developed solutions with a true entrepreneurial spirit. Ensure collaboration and overall integration between programme tracks

* Activity/ initiative execution on client data, system and architecture. Apply understanding in cards/payment portfolio management to deliver objectives and applying data science capabilities key data operating programmes, e.g. SAS, Python. Handling aspects of Data / Operation / Strategy / Business Development / Marketing / Sales / Product / Growth / Digital concurrently as necessary

* Understand our clients' business objectives, needs, plans, etc. together with the UK&I Account Management Team and retain and build on these relationships. Develop and propose appropriate project approaches and business solutions to the client

* Leverage Visa's innovation, product and data capabilities to further grow our clients' business by working together with the VMS/VCA and product teams
