Data Team Manager, Data Analytics Manager, Technical Leader, Liverpool

Data Team Manager required to lead a team of 20+ people for a fast growing Professional Services business based in Liverpool. However, due to Covid-19, this will initially be based from home.

We basically need a good, solid and proven Technical Leader who has some exposure to data sets linked to the likes of SQL. The leadership side of this particular function is broken and we need someone energetic, enthusiastic and has the ability to install belief into people in order to get the team all singing and dancing again! Technical requirements and professional skills:

* Experience of performing or managing people in a similar environment is essential

* Extensive experience within a data analytics role at a people manager level, responsible for delivery and compilation of MI supporting delivery

* Experience using Advanced Microsoft Excel

* Coding experience highly advantageous especially in SQL, python and/or VBA

* Qlikview experience essential (otherwise, extensive expertise in other data visualisation software such as Power BI or Tableau desirable)

* Knowledge of and a good familiarity with MS Power Apps and/or other 'low-code no-code' app platforms desirable but non-essential

* IT skills - strong working knowledge of MS Office and similar desktop applications. Experience of workflow management type systems and best practice is advantageous.

* Knowledge of Kanban, and other lean operational management & root-cause analysis methods a plus

* Credible and confident to interact with stakeholders at senior level.

* Strong people management skills: empathetic and encouraging style to support junior team members to excel in their roles.

* Excellent time management, organisation and prioritisation skills. Be able to lead by example and influence optimal performance of team.

* Ability to use own initiative and take a flexible approach.
